Kenneth R. HughesPassed away peacefully on April 4, 2017 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of LaVerne for 64 years. Loving father of Cindy (Paul) Kowalkiewicz, Jill (John) Koszarek and Tom (Dralene) Hughes.  Dear grandfather of Chris, Barbara, Andy, Katie, Lexie, Olivia, David, Sheri, Brian and Dan. Great-grandfather of Ian, Eli, Fernanda, Logan, Owen, Aubrey, Alex, Devon, Carter and Lily. Further survived by his sister Barbara (Lawrence) Brunett; sister-in-law Marlene (Ronald) Andersen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Hugh James Hughes, and sisters-in-law Marilyn and Carole Hughes. Many thanks to his LindenGrove New Berlin caregivers. Ken was a proud member of Milwaukee Plumbers Union Local 75 for over 60 years. He will be remembered for his joy and love of family, special smile, and volunteer work at Lapham Peak State Park and the Ice Age Trail. Ken loved travel, his cottage, kayaking, bonfires, and sunsets over Bear Lake. Here's to endless views from the shore.
