Bartes, Laverne J. "Skip" Went Home to the Lord on June 27, 2009, at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Carol. Loving dad of Dan (Happy), Kathy (Tom) Anderson and Karen Bartes. Adored grandfather of Jake, Josh and Brielle Bartes, David and John Anderson, and Derek Verburgt. Preceded in death by daughter, Joan Mary. Further survived by 2 brothers, 3 sisters and many friends. Died peacefully surrounded by family. Skip was a veteran of the US Army Reserves and a retiree of the Teamsters Local #200.
