Lawrence (Larry) Edward Pozarski, age 83, peacefully passed away on August 31, 2025, in his hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Born on May 15, 1942, Larry was a devoted family man who dedicated his life to caring for those he loved. He worked in the manufacturing industry his whole life. He took great pride in his last job as a maintenance technician at Bradley Corporation. He was always proud to see their finished products and quickly pointed them out.
One of Larry's greatest joys was being outdoors. He had a lifelong love of fishing - especially at the old cabin on McComb Lake, and above all, in Canada - his favorite fishing spot since childhood. What began as trips with his parents became a cherished tradition he later shared with his son, Craig.
Larry also enjoyed hunting, and although his daughter, Joy, was always too young to join, she still loved the idea of going along with him and Craig.
When he wasn't enjoying family time or precious time with his granddaughters, Larry could be found in his garden, where he found peace and fulfillment. As the seasons passed and gardening became more difficult, he turned to quieter pastimes - reading James Patterson and Stephen King, watching MeTV, and taking well-earned catnaps.
Larry was known for his sharp wit, his collection of clipped-out newspaper comics, and his love of a good joke. Even in later years, his humor never faded. He once asked his podiatrist for a discount because he had only nine toes left. His laugh grew softer in recent weeks, but his spirit and sense of humor remained.
He was endlessly optimistic, always looking on the bright side of life. His resilience in the face of challenges was inspiring. Making others smile was his greatest strength. Hugging Larry was the warmest hug, and hearing his laugh was a comfort to everyone who knew him.
Larry wanted his life celebrated, so let's remember him the way he'd want us to: working on his Sunday puzzles, mowing the grass, sitting in the sunshine, and on the back porch reading and listening to his favorite oldie CDs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lucille, brother, Leonard, cousins, and cherished friends.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Carole, son Craig (Judy), daughter Joy (Brian) Barger and his two granddaughters, Noel and Isabelle. He is further survived by two sisters, Donna and Karen, brother-in-law, Russell (Addie), nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones.
He once said, "It's not death that I fear, but missing the people I love the most." Let that be our reminder to hold each other close and appreciate the time we have left together.
Larry's legacy lives on in the love he gave, the stories he shared, and the laughter he brought into every room. He may be gone, but he's not far - he's in the moments we smile, the jokes we tell, and the quiet peace of a day well spent.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
