Obituary

Louis "Louie" John Wagner, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went to his Eternal Rest Wednesday, May 6th, 2015. He was born July 21, 1948 in Waukesha to John and Carol (Payne) Wagner, and grew up alongside his brother James and sister Carol "Cook" (Golden).  After graduating from Francis Jordan High School in 1966 he proudly served this nation as a Sargent in the United States Air Force from 1967 until 1971, during which time he was stationed in Texas and Panama.  In 1972 he married Bonnie (Ludwig), who preceded him into the Lord's grace in 2003. Together they had two sons, Tracy (Pam), and Christopher. Louis soon resumed a distinguished 44 year career with Journal Communications. In 2008 he once again found love, marrying his best friend, Janice (Schultz) and becoming a step-father to Matt (Stephanie), Danny (Ashley), and Rachel.  His full family life was soon blessed by a grandson, Theodore John, and many step-grandchildren.  Louie was a man who found true joy in many of the things life has to offer: he was rarely seen without a Coca-Cola in one hand and The Moody Blues playing in the background; loved anything with an engine, from his classic car collection to model railroads; adored each of his seven furry babies; was a true friend to his son Christopher; looked forward to the days he spent with his grandson, taking him to and from school and working together on his raspberry bushes; was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need;  and his bark, though loud, was far worse than his bite. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4-7pm, service to follow at 7pm, on Wednesday, May 13.  Private interment at Mt Olivet Cemetery.
