Platz, Margaret Lydia (Nee Vierthaler) Margaret Lydia Platz died in her home April 19, 2011, at age 97. She was born August 24, 1913, to the late John and Emma Vierthaler in Milwaukee. Further preceded in death by her older brother Richard, who died at age 3 before she was born. Margaret attended South Division High School and married the late Oliver Henry Platz from Milwaukee in October 1931. She was President of the local chapter for the Women's Life Insurance Society and was an active member in the Wauwatosa Garden Club, YMCA, Wisconsin Hiking Club, and the German Freethought Society Freie Gemeinde. She is survived by her son Daniel John Platz, grandchildren Dwayne Allen Platz and Audra Lynne Platz, and great-granddaughter Georgia Emmaleen Hughes.Service:A memorial lunch will be held at Bluemound Gardens, 11703 W. Bluemound Rd., Wauwatosa, on Saturday, July 9, at 12 noon.
