Passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9th at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph and daughter Ellyn. She leaves behind her children Alan, Laurie, and Eric (Patti); grandchildren Abbey, (Jonathan), Cassandra, and Alex; and many friends and family.Margy was born on December 31st, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from the Milwaukee State Teacher's College (now UWM) in June of 1949. She married Ralph Jernberg nine days later and together they celebrated 60 years of marriage before his death in 2010. Margy began her teaching career in the classroom and after her children were born, she changed her focus to teaching homebound and hospitalized children. She will be remembered for her famous chocolate cake, her love of singing and music, but most notably for her strong character and generosity. She always considered the well being of others before herself. Margy was a proud and active member of Atonement church, a member of the "scarf ladies" at Village at Manor Park, and a guiding voice to all of the friends and family she left behind.A service honoring Margy's life will be held Sunday, November 19th at 5:00pm at Atonement Lutheran Church, S70 W16244 Martin Drive Muskego Wi 53150 with visitation beginning at 3:30 P.M. and a dinner following. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Atonement Lutheran Church.
