At the age of 94, Marie passed away peacefully at Zilber Hospice in Wauwatosa with her daughter Gail Barrett, and friend Susan Messinger holding her hands. All her wishes were granted as she passed quietly with music playing and having no pain. She asked that there be no funeral service, but to have loved ones come and say Goodbye to her before she passed. We are so grateful that this was able to happen.

She had a wonderful 94th Birthday with friends and family on November 24th. She had four Birthday celebrations. She was alert and enjoyed everyone's company, and the cakes. She loved her sweets.

She was proceeded in death by her devoted husband, Robert Abrahamson on April 21, 2020, and her loving parents, Max and Anna Strauss, sister Annie and brothers Gerhardt (Bernice)
Max, Herbie (Dolores), and Jimmie.

She is survived by her daughters Gail Barrett and Dawn Abrahamson, her grandchildren Cody and Shane Abrahamson, and her great-granddaughters Janiya, Princess and Angel.
Further survived by her sister-in-laws Diane and Pat, cousin Sandy, nieces and nephews, friends and caregivers.

As a profession, she worked as a cashier for A&P Grocery Store, and retired from Sentry Foods. Her true calling was being a Mom and caring for everyone in everyway. She retired early when her granddaughter Cody was born so she could help care for her. She was happiest taking care of her family, and their friends. She never ran out of energy, and was always ready to help anyone that needed anything. Friends called her St. Marie! She will be truly missed by all.
