Greenfield – Marie L. Murphy (nee Mueller) 89, went to spend Christmas with her late husband Dick, on Sunday, December 24, 2023.

Beloved wife of the late Richard Murphy. Preceded in death by her son in-law Alan Engles. Also preceded by nine brothers and three sisters.

Dear mother of Lynn Engles, Gail (Bob) Stelmaszewski and Michael (Dennis Wolke). Proud Grandma to her grandsons Chris and Andy. She is also survived by four sister-in-laws and two brother-in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

Marie was born on March 17, 1934, on the family farm in the town of Wien, WI. Daughter of the late John and Sarah (Steffen) Mueller. She was the second youngest of 13 children. In the early 50's she moved to Milwaukee where she met her husband. On April 10, 1954, she married Richard Murphy, and they had three children.

Marie and her husband Dick were very active members of Collins-Meyers VFW Post #2903. She lived the last 20 years at Crest View Senior Living Apartments where she had many friends.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Hartson Funeral Home in Hales Corners from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
