Marjorie Ann Zywicke (nee Schuman) passed peacefully to eternal life on Sunday, May 19th at the age of 86. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Zywicke; her daughter, Karen Miles; and her parents, Hermina Schuman (nee Pechnick) and Neal Schuman. Loving mother to Landy (Charmane) Miles, Patrick (Karla) Miles, Mary (Tim) Dittloff, and Lori (Scott) Ceccarini. Cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many.
Our dear mother worked hard to take care of her family, and called many others her adopted children. She was a powerhouse of love and compassion. She advocated for many great causes. Later in life, she found joy in creating quilted wall hangings, crocheted items, and handcrafting jewelry. After meeting the love of her life (re-meeting at their 50th high school reunion), she and Gary enjoyed taking in live jazz concerts, taking a jazz cruise, and jazz train trip; where her "family of adopted children" grew to include many musicians. She believed that the quality of life was the most important. She loved to have her family around her and would comment how marvelous it was to know her life had been a part of so many, and that so many were a part of her life.
We are better people for having Marjorie (Mazy, as she liked to be called after marrying Gary) as our mother and will love her forever.
A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Love, Inc. in Burlington, WI (Marjorie's favorite charity) can be made at www.love-inc.net
