Marlene Potrykus, of Hales Corners, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Jerry Potrykus; her son, Ken Potrykus, and daughter-in-law, Michaele; and her daughter, Julie Potrykus, and son-in-law, Mark Van Handel. Marlene was a proud grandmother to Sam and Halee Potrykus, Ben and Huntere Potrykus, Ellie and Nate Espeset, Lue Van Handel and Kailee Van Handel.

Marlene found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for writing poems and often expressed herself through verse. A devoted Wisconsin sports fan, she cheered on her teams with enthusiasm. She also cherished bird watching and found peace in observing nature’s beauty. One of her favorite pastimes was going for drives through Whitnall Park, enjoying the changing seasons and quiet moments.

Above all else, Marlene treasured time spent with her family. Her warmth and presence will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
