It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marlene (nee Haeffner; Borowski) Wilke, age 93, on December 12, 2024. Marlene was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew her.
Born on April 8, 1931, Marlene spent her life dedicated to her family and her passions. She lived a fulfilling life, embracing her love for knitting, playing cards, and the thrill of slots at the casino. Marlene also had a successful career in dental hygiene. Her laughter and stories will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Marlene was also an avid sports fan. She had a great love for Marquette University Basketball, the Green Bay Packers, and the Milwaukee Brewers. Her enthusiasm for sports brought excitement and joy to her life and to those who shared these moments with her.
Marlene is preceded in death by her late husband Raymond Borowski and the late Werner Wilke. She is survived by her daughters and their spouses Wendy & Joseph Kopinski, Lori & James Fox and Kerry & Darrell Alvine. She is also survived by her three grandchildren and their spouses Alex Kopinski, Ryan & Sarah Alvine and Kelli & Matthew Case.
Her legacy of love, warmth, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family, relatives, and friends.
A celebration of Marlene's life will be held at noon on Monday, December 16th in the Holy Cross Cemetery West Chapel. Please meet at the Chapel Office. Family and friends are invited to share memories and pay their respects.
