Martha H. (Dehne) Appelget, 96 and 3/4, died October 17 in Greendale, WI. A life of creativity and love well lived. Martha was born December 4, 1917 in Muncie, Indiana. She lived most of her life inBenton Harbor and St. Joseph, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter S. Appelget, whom she married April 12, 1941. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. After retiring from Simonize Corp.., Martha and her husband were partners with George and Janice Perlick in a seasonal business in Elk Rapids, MI. Martha taught art at the St. Joseph Senior Center and also served on the board. In 2001, she moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to live with her daughter, Rev. Deanna Merritt. She is survived by her daughter, three Grandsons: Delbert (Debra), Christopher (Lisa) and Benjamin (Celine) and four Great-granchildren: Tyler, Lucas, Maxwell andAlexandra; and her beloved "Special Niece" Sheryl (Phil) Day. A Grandson once told her "Life is Delicious". She lived it. Private burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph, at a laterdate. Memorials may be made to the Morton House Museum, Benton Harbor, MI.
