Marvin "Marv" Nelson, age 85, a resident of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Marv was the beloved husband of Teresa (nee Dick) for 24 years. He is survived by his children, Sally (Jeff) Moczynski and Susan (Craig) Anderson; stepchildren, Roy (Amber) Fredrick and Teri (Brian) Boucher; and grandchildren, Olyvia (Andy), Emma, Justin, Maya, Cody, Dylan, Anna, and Maya. He is predeceased by his father, Gerald; mother, Florence; and brother, Eugene.

A long-time employee of Mercury Marine Corporation as a tool designer. Avid sports fan of the PGA, Wisconsin Badgers, Packers, Brewers and Bucks. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren especially at his cabin up north.

With an engineering background, Marv was very talented in drawing and playing the accordion and enjoyed dancing to polka music with "his polka loving gal". He loved woodworking and solving problems. Marv was very active and had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as golfing, fishing, hiking, biking, and hunting. He cherished sharing these passions with his loved ones.
