Obituary

On September 18, 2023 Mary Ellyn Honadel (Ruehle), age 84 went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She is now safe in the arms of Jesus and reunited with many loved ones. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is further survived by her only daughter, Ruth Ellyn (Scott) Oleson; granddaughters, Rachel (Isaiah) Briley and Becky Oleson; great grandchildren, Everly, Layla, and baby James; nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mary was a long time resident of Hales Corners where her parents were one of the first settlers. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1957 and then traveled around the United States with the South Milwaukee Band. She was an excellent drummer. In addition, she was part of the Mazur Polish Dancers. She made many friends and memories during that season of her life.

She was then privileged to get a job at Allen Bradley, now Rockwell Automation, Inc,. in the shipping department. She enjoyed 27 1/2 years there before retiring. She was a single mom and working woman. She loved both! While in her retirement, she was able to travel and take many bus tours. She also cared for her precious granddaughters. They brought joy and youthfulness back into her life.

Her legacy of being a loving, caring and giving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend will live on through those she loved. It is not goodbye, just see you soon.

We love you!
