Mary Larson, 69, of Sun Prairie, WI, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025.

Mary was born and raised in Palos Verdes, California, where she graduated from Palos Verdes High School. She went on to study nursing at Truman College and Viterbo University. Her passion for helping others guided her to a career in nursing, which she sadly had to leave due to a severe latex allergy.

Mary's life journey took her from California to Illinois with her first husband, then to Wisconsin with her second. She eventually made her way to Viroqua, where she met her husband, Paul. Together, they shared many devoted years in Sun Prairie.

Mary was known for her generosity and open heart. S he never hesitated to help those in need, and her home was a refuge for anyone who needed it. If someone needed a place to stay, Mary welcomed them without hesitation. She especially loved holidays and celebrations, finding joy in planning menus and preparing meals for family gatherings.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; her daughter, Christina; her son, Sean; step-children Donna, Kevin, Christine, Holly and William; grandsons, Christopher and Freeman; her sisters, Sarah and Tanna; and many extended family and friends who loved her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Thomas; her husbands, Donald and George; her son, Donald; her granddaughter, Forrest; and her brother, Thomas.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In honor of Mary's spirit, the family encourages acts of kindness and generosity toward those in need.
