Mary Lenar died on January 17, 2018 at Vitas Hospice The Lutheran Home. She was born February 14, 1923 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Her parents were John A. Radtke and Louisa (Burkhart) Radtke. Mary grew up in Rice Lake where she enjoyed swimming in the lake and roller-skating at the rink. She graduated from Rice lake High School in 1941. She worked in a real estate office, ushered in a movie theater, and worked as a telephone operator. After visiting her brother she moved to Muskegon, Michigan. She worked as a telephone operator for Sealed Power and later the Occidental Hotel. Her experience as a telephone operator included long distance, mobile operator and private branch exchange operator. Her brother introduced her to Eugene J. Lenar whom she married on January 10, 1946 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Muskegon Heights, Michigan. During their married life they would live in Michigan, New Jersey and Wisconsin. Mary did many crafts including crocheting, embroidery, ceramics, paint by number, hooking rugs and craft kits for Christmas decorations. She liked to read and do puzzles.Mary is survived by her daughter Louise, her sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Brenda, Andrew and Erin, her grandchildren Alec, Emma, Lucas and Miranda, her great granddaughter Charlotte and nieces and nephews.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene in 1999, her daughter Ellen in 1956, her sister Eleanor Juza and her brothers John B. Radtke, William G. Radtke and Peter Radtke.Visitation Saturday January 27th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Rd, Hales Corners WI 53130. Luncheon to follow at Stoneridge Inn, 11811 W. Janesville Rd, Hales corners, WI 53130 In lieu of flowers donations to Sacred Heart Monastery, 7350 S.
