Mary Lee Nolan passed away peacefully on Friday May 23rd, 2025 at the age of 82, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her children Jenny, (Richard) Kerry (Ryan) Patrick (Martie), Kelly and Joseph Michelle) Nolan. Grandchildren Jesse Lemont and Sean (Emily) and Saoirse Nolan, and her sisters Catherine Prins-Hubatch and Connie Powell, as well as beloved pup, Eddie.

Mary's primary devotion in life was to her children and grandchildren, to whom she never stopped giving all her love, care and guidance.

A ceaselessly kind and gentle person, she nevertheless held strong beliefs and pushed those around her toward critical thought and discussion. With her keen intelligence, Mary nourished a lifelong passion for reading literature, and in mid-life became a first-generation college graduate.

Additionally, Mary harbored a love for the natural world, which took her on numerous adventures, and was an adept yoga practitioner.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Loretta Holup, who raised her in Antigo, WI, as well as her brother Ronald Holup, sister Sandra Hubatch, and her former husband Robert Nolan.

A private celebration of life will be held September 7 at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center.
