Washa, Mary JaneOf Muskego, passed away peacefully in her home on January 16, 2018 at the age of 88, surrounded by her family.Preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred Washa, parents John and Mary Wachowiak and brother, John Walsh (Wachowiak). Survived by her loving daughters and son-in-law, Dorothy (Thomas) Riesing and Diane Washa.Mary Jane graduated from Polaski High School and Carroll College and enjoyed a long professional career in the field of graphic arts.Marrying a little later in life at the age of 35, Mary Jane moved into an established household with her new husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law, and two young daughters, ages 10 and 12. She is fondly remembered for supporting her husband's devotion to the Muckey 4-H club for 50 years and introducing her new family to the world of musical theater and annual road trips across North America. Favorite destinations included Saint Mary Lake Glacier National Park and Lake Louise Banff. She loved hiking in the mountains, boating, swimming and bicycling. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and UW Badgers. She enjoyed following current political events, listening to musical artists ranging from Chris Botti to Lady Gaga, loved going to the movies, taking part in Wisconsin's Film Festivals and tending to the grounds of her home.Outwardly quiet and reserved, Mary Jane never complained and will be fondly remembered for being kind, fun, giving, spunky, optimistic, and loyal to friends and family.
