Heaven received another angel. Mathew Hensiak passed away Friday, December 27, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diana, his brother, Al Hensiak, and his parents, Al and Margaret. He is survived by his daughter Shannon Hansen (Bob), Cousin Sharon Nelion, sister-in-law Donna Hensiak, his ex-wife Neta Biever with whom he remained good friends with for all of his days, several nephews, great-nephews, and a great niece, as well as many friends from throughout the years.
Matt was born February 22, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from Pulaski High School. After graduation he served in the United States Army as a Nike Missile Technician. He served honorably for three years from 1965-1968 and was stationed near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to protect that city from a missile attack.
After serving in the Army, he moved back home to Milwaukee and took a job at Brigg's and Stratton. He then worked for the Milwaukee Water Department for twelve years. During that time, he met his late-wife, Diana. They married and co-owned the bar Post Time on the southside of Milwaukee. One of the highlights of owning the bar was the charity events that were done for Muscular Dystrophy. After the bar he became a local truck driver until 2017 when he retired.
Matt loved sports. He played baseball, shot pool, golfed, and bowled. He was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Matt was always the life of the party. He will be remembered for hosting a lot of parties over the years. He always had Italian Sausage with peppers on the grill for everyone.
Matt had a heart of gold. He loved his family and friends very much. May he rest in peace.
