Mrs. Maureen Ann Kosmatka made her triumphant debut at the Pearly Gates on August 14th, 2025, at the tender age of 94.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Rose Acker; husband, James; daughter, Mary Kaye; brother, Russ and sister, Jean. She is survived by her sons Mike (Debbie), Jim (Janet) and Tom as well as four grandchildren (Matt, Austin, Natalie and Ben) and two great-grandchildren (Huxley and Lennox).
Maureen left an indelible mark on everyone that crossed her path. She instilled love, kindness and grace on all through her unwavering faith and commitment to God. She lived her life in a way that made us all proud.
Maureen kept remarkably busy throughout her life. She spent considerable time at Uncle Bill and Aunt Julia's farm in her early years. As her life went on, she loved being involved in church groups, volunteering at nursing homes and hospitals, sewing, her cats, reading, Wii bowling, dancing, bingo, shopping, puzzles and lunch dates with friends.
Most important of all, she loved her family. She loved the get togethers, the laughs, the conversations, the stories, the hugs, the memories made that will last a lifetime. The little things mattered the most. There truly are no words to fully describe what she meant to all of us. We will all carry those precious moments with us forever.
The family is deeply grateful and appreciative of the outstanding care given at Care-Age of Brookfield in Maureen's final years.
