Herem, Maynard A. Jackson resident, died at home at age 78, Friday April 6, 2012, surrounded by family. He was born in Winnebago County, Iowa, on August 6, 1933 to Carl and Helen Herem. He received his bachelor degree in Industrial Education from Iowa State University. After graduation, Maynard served our country in the Air Force for 4 years. He worked at AC Spark Plug in Oak Creek, WI and also at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. He received his masters degree at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 1970, and in 1979 received his PhD in Adult Education from the University of Minnesota . He was the president of Techtrain, an adult training company. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn (nee Palmes), daughter Karen (Dale) Gass, grandchildren Lynn and Brian and nieces and nephews.Cemetery:Private burial to follow in Fort Collins, CO.Service:A memorial service will be held on April 14, 2012, at 2PM, at Ozaukee Congregational Church, 1142 Lakefield Rd., Grafton, WI.
