Obituary

Maynard Morrison Martin.Age 90, passed peacefully October 29th, 2016.  Loving husband of Arlene for 64 years.  Survived by 3 sons: Timothy (Kathleen) of Plymouth, MN, Scott (Kathleen) of Lancaster, Maynard Jr. (Bud) of New Berlin. Further survived by 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and brothers John, Greg, Jim and sis Renie. Preceded in death by his wife Arlene, parents Dave and Mae Martin; brothers Dave Jr., Kent, Richie, Roz, and daughter-in-law Holly (Bud) Martin.Maynard was born and raised in Sturgeon Bay, WI.  Loved a good card game and a Door County Manhattan. Always happiest when he was around any kind of water and could fish. It didn't have to be in a boat, but he loved his perch and salmon fishing days on Lake Michigan, sailing, which he did a lot of when growing up in Sturgeon Bay, or just walking along a shore line in Florida. He graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School. Proudly served in both the Army and Merchant Marines. He and his brother had a restaurant in Plymouth WI, he was a regional manager for the Milwaukee Journal in La Crosse, WI, owned a restaurant in West Allis, WI and retired from the Falk Corp. Maynard along with the love of his life, Arlene, raised three boys. He instilled a work ethic as well as setting an example for his boys on how to be a good man with good values and beliefs. He was the best. A faithful husband and proud father that will be dearly missed. Per Maynard's wishes no formal services are being held.
