Melda E. Wilcox (nee Peters)Born to Eternal Life on March 21, 2015 at the age of 93.  Beloved wife of the late Donald E. Wilcox.  He preceded her in death on December 20, 1986.  Melda was born on the Menominee Indian Reservation to Walter Sr. and Ann (nee Westcott) Peters on November 3, 1921.  After graduating from Haskell High School in Kansas, she moved to Milwaukee WI and began working for the Briggs and Stratton Company, retiring in 1975.  During this time she met her future husband and they married on June 26, 1948.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Walter Jr., Wilmer Sr., Waylen and Wesley, and sisters Melva "Elsie" and Myrtle.  Further survived by nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held Saturday, March 28th from 10:30 until time of service at noon at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of Flowers, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield WI.  Entombment will follow.  A special thanks to the staff at the Lutheran Home for their care of Melda over the past 10 years, and most recently Seasons Hospice.
