Of Wind Lake, WI, passed away at his home at age 90. He is survived by his loving sons: Kevin (Janet), Clifford (Sue), and Barth (Patricia); five grandchildren: Aaron (Lisa), Michelle (Mike) Hotter, Rachel (Todd) Miller, Larissa, and Brittany. Great-grandfather to Isaac, Norah, and Emmett Bushberger, Mikey, Madden, and Maren Hotter, and other great-grandchildren. Further survived by friend and neighbor, Jeff Dempsey and family, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his son, Brian, sister, Florence, and brother, Foster. Melvin served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He worked for WE Energies for 42 years. He was an avid hunter, enjoying duck hunting in Texas, mule deer in Wyoming, and black bear in Canada. He also enjoyed trap shooting with the "Luck of the Draw Gang". He is now reunited with his wife of 69 years, Shirley. A visitation will be held on Tuesday November 28th at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Rd. Hales Corners, WI 53130 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 5:30 p.m. Private burial the following day. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Muskego Moose Lodge #1057 or the American Cancer Society in Melvin's name are appreciated.
