Went peacefully home to be with his Lord and Savior at 92 years old. Preceded in death by his wife Lois and sister Shirley. Dear father of Karen (Richard) Doligalski and Kirk (Kathy) Lemberger. Grandfather to Sarah, Katie, Laura. Great-grandfather to Noah. Special uncle to the Lubach nieces and nephews who always remembered him. Mel worked for We Energies for over 33 years and enjoyed his retirement. He loved volunteering at his church, Zion United Church of Christ, until ill health overcame him. Special thanks to the Asera Care Hospice team who helped keep Dad comfortable these last months, and to Dr. Robey who blessed us with his wonderful care of both Mom and Dad at Ramsey Woods. A very special thank you to all of Mel's caregivers, friends, and everyone who worked at Ramsey Woods. You gave him your loving care and hugs. Your dedication made you his family. A visitation will be held on Tuesday August 1st at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Rd. Hales Corners, WI 53130 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Zion United Church of Christ made in Mel's name are appreciated, to help continue their ministries and outreach to many.
