Michael John Cox was born on March 27, 1940 to George and Martha Cox and baptized at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in West Allis. He attended Good Shepherd Grade School and was confirmed in 1954. While attending Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, he made the acquaintance of Marlene Timmermann. After four years of prayer and planning they were married on December 27, 1959, and together they enjoyed 64 years of grace and blessings from God.

Five sons shared their Dad's journey. Tim (Dianne), David, Jon (Doreen), Chris (Clarissa) and Philip (Monika), as well as fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren (twelfth on the way!).

Mike was grateful to work in his chosen field of trucking for most of his productive years. He loved his family home, his church home, and looked hopefully to his heavenly home. Through all of life's ups and downs, God kept him close. Complications of Parkinson's disease finally caused the Lord to call him home on May 28, 2024 at the age of 84.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, his brother Raymond, and sisters Marion and Grace. Mike's wife, children, their families, his sister Marjorie, nieces, nephews and many friends wait for reunion in heaven when God calls. Michael was greatly loved and will be missed.
