Obituary

It pains me to admit it, but apparently, I have passed away. Everyone told me it would happen one day but that's simply not something I wanted to hear, much less experience. Once again I didn't get things my way! That's been the story of my life all my life.

And while on that subject (the story of my life)… on July 18, 1977 my parents and older sister Beverly celebrated my birth (well, it took Bev a minute to warm up to me, as she was convinced she was supposed to be an only child) and I was introduced to all as Michael Edward Ostrowski Jr, the son of Michael Sr and Amanda Ostrowski from Milwaukee.

Just two years later when another baby boy named Peter was born, I became known as the middle brother of the infamous Ostrowski Bunch, and the world was changed forever.

My parents were gypsies so we moved around a lot when I was a kid. We spent some time in Cudahy off and on as well as Nashville, TN. But mostly I grew up in the Milwaukee area. Our family got together regularly for poker night. That was something I enjoyed doing as well. Playing cards with my sister and brother was a great pastime. We grew up playing card games like Spades, poker and Sheepshead because Old Maid and Go Fish were for sissies! I also enjoyed many summers spent up north at my grandparents cottage in Beaver Dam. We spent countless hours in the lake, boating, swimming, fishing, rolling down the hill in large inner tubes and playing with the kids next door. We were inseparable!

Music was always playing in our household. I grew up listening to Oldies, Motown, and Country & Western. My sister introduced me to pop music when I was around 7 years old. I fell in love with Michael Jackson's music and decided I wanted to be like him! I had the fancy zipper jackets, glittery socks & glove. I even went as far as getting my hair permed! I wanted to dye it black too, but mom wouldn't let me. Outrageous! As an adult, I gravitated towards 80's rock and gangster rap as well as 90's alternative.

I spent my high school years in Greendale, where I enjoyed participating in wrestling, football and auto mechanics. I met a lot of great people there. Some of which I remained friends with for the rest of my life. When my mother remarried to a man named Thomas, two of those good friends became my brothers, William and Bobby. I'm grateful for our brotherhood and friendships. Later on in life, I was reunited with a sister I didn't know I had, who's name is Tina. She has a kind heart and wise words to share. I'm grateful to have found her.

Affectionately known as "Mikey" by my family, I was a semi auto mechanic by trade. I was a lover of anything lemon, music, working on cars, hanging out with family, playing video games, board games, cards, watching movies, a history buff and anything having to do with the Mafia. I always took a care-free and chilled approach to life. I always did what I believed was right, no matter the cost. I spoke the truth whether or not you wanted to hear it. I was a hard worker and an all around big-hearted person who loved everyone. I was a caring and generous person in every way. Always joking and having a good time. I enjoyed every bit of my life. But I enjoyed it comfortably in my Carhartt shirts and flight pants.

I held many important titles in my day. Not Lord, Prince or King like some of those chumps overseas. My titles were far more important like, devoted son, loving brother, awesome nephew, fantastic grandson, amazing cousin, charismatic uncle and father figure to Lazarus, Devon, Ryan, Susan, Joseph, Meghan, Monique, Angelina, Vincent, Elena and Briella, and favorite brother-in-law to Christopher, Erica, Frank and Eva.

No buildings were named after me; no monuments erected in my honor. But I DID have the chance to know and love each and every friend as well as all my family members. How much more blessed can a person be?

So… do your best and make something amazing out of your life. Oh, and never stop smiling. I'll be cheering you on from above!

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I take a look at my life and realize I'm much blessed. Don't cry for me, Argentina (well, maybe you can cry a little bit. After all, I have passed away). I'm up in heaven wearing my gator boots and a pimped out Gucci suit. I'm ridin' high, driving my Impala with 20" blades full of shorties. Hope you're ready for the next episode hey, hey, hey-ey-ey, smoke everyday! *Mic Drop*

Love Eternally,
Infinite Mike
