March 7, 1968 – May 23, 2018Michael J. Schmeling, 50, found peace on May 23, 2018. Dear Son of Connie Schmeling (nee Vasarella) and the late Jerome. He was the loving brother of Jerilyn Schmeling and Thomas (Chris) Schmeling; uncle to the late Alison (Corey) Foerster, Christy (Tony) Winkler and Stephanie Schmeling; also survived by great-nieces, Elizabeth and Hannah Foerster. Michael is survived by his wife Melissa, mother-in-law Alice Hershman and the late James, sister-in-law Jessica (Jeff) Watzka, and nieces Breanna (Joel) Bandanes, Natasha Watzka and great-nephew Paxton Badanes.Michael enjoyed traveling the world and watching movies. He was a devoted follower of the 2018 Playoff Bound Milwaukee Brewers and loved absolutely everything about the Beatles.There will be a gathering on Friday June 1, 2018 from 5-7pm at Hartson Funeral Home located at 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners, WI 53130. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wisconsin Humane Society and/or the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee are appreciated.
