In Loving Memory of
Mildred Rose Jones
November 12, 1924 to April 10 2025
Mildred (aka "Millie" and "Aunt Mille") was fortunate to grow up in a loving household in Milwaukee with her mother, Rose (Elmer), and siblings, Jeanette (Pecora) and Carl (Elmer).
As the librarian for First Wisconsin Bank in Milwaukee for many years, Millie was one of the early pioneers in managing information in the era before computers were invented. She was trusted by senior management and developed close friendships with her co-workers at the bank.
Millie enjoyed traveling and collecting figurines from local artists in Hungary, Germany and other countries. She also loved to shop in Illinois and Wisconsin with her sister Jeanette. Her hobbies included painting, knitting, making felt, making beaded Christmas ornaments, and watching classic movies. She was also an amazing cook. Financially astute and politically savvy, Millie enjoyed discussing world events with family.
Millie became a close part of the Pecora family, when her sister, Jeanette, married Peter Pecora Sr. Not only did the Pecora's welcome Millie into their family, but Millie also welcomed the Pecora's into hers. Millie was very close with her sister and brother-in-law, in addition to her nephew's Peter (Patty) Pecora, John (Annette) Pecora, Thomas Pecora and Mark Pecora.
Millie was most generous and kind-hearted and was always willing to offer guidance and help to her family and friends. Millie will be deeply missed, but we know she is in a special place with her mother, father and brother, who she looked forward to being with again.
