MILWAUKEE - Age 60. Born into eternal life September 11, 2025.
Nadine, died peacefully in her sleep September 11. With all of her health conditions, we've known this day would come someday, but it was always someday. Someday has come. Nadine was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 15, 1965. She began life as the beloved daughter of Charles and Rita (Mainus) Fligiel. Shortly after, she became the protective, loyal, and fun-loving sister to Suzanne and Amanda. As an adult she was the proud Aunt to Austin, Aimee, and Anna.
Nadine met and married the love of her life, Mark. They married on a beautiful fall day on September 7, 1991. Together they built a life defined by mutual respect, shared laughter, and devotion.
Smart, witty and gifted, she grew to not just appreciate the arts, music, literature and comedy, but to embrace her talents. She was a proud graduate of Catholic Memorial High School. She would later obtain her undergraduate degree from Carroll College. As life progressed, she achieved her dream degree of Master of Library Science from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
She was a retired librarian, which she loved. She was an artist, which she loved. She was loved by family and friends. There are not words that come close to doing her justice. If you knew her, you know how special she was.
She will be missed and remembered with love by all who knew her.
We'll have a celebration of Nadine on Saturday, November 15, from noon to 3pm at the Greenfield Public Library 5310 W. Layton Ave., Greenfield, WI 53220
