Wood, Nancy J. (Nee Lessiter) Age 82, entered Eternal Life Friday, January 21, 2011. She was born January 30, 1928, on the family farm near Grattan, MI. She graduated from high school in Belding, MI, in 1945, and attended Michigan State College. She married Theodore M. Wood on April 21, 1951; he survives her. Nancy was the loving mother of six children, Marty Wood (Mary Ellen Alea), Priscilla Wood (Tim Eaton), Carolyn Wood (Steven Fritsche), Mary Egan (Pat), Joanne Wood (John Michela) and Ken Wood (Flora Coker). Nancy is also survived by nine grandchildren: Ben, Elise and Jesse Wood; Matthew Eaton; Makho Mashoba; Rochelle and Cavan Egan; and Claire and Leyna Michela. Nancy worked at various places after her children were grown; including Graybar Electric in Milwaukee, WI; Sacred Heart Monastery in Hales Corners, WI; Carmel Racquet Club in Carmel, IN; and Salem United Methodist Church in Waukesha, WI. Nancy was proud to have been a Michigan farm girl. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and was a great cook, a sharp card player, and an active church volunteer. She sang as she worked around the house and loved to go dancing with Ted. She was a sensitive person who felt her emotions deeply.
