Norbert Markowski, age 91, Born to Eternal Life on Friday, April 12, 2019. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 17, 1927.
He was drafted into the US Army 24th Division Battery a, 11th fa bn-ix corp and fought in the Korean War. He was wounded on July 13, 1951. His wounds affected him for the rest of his life, however, they never stopped him from living life to the fullest. He worked for the City of Milwaukee as a city street inspector.
Family was the center of his world. He greatly enjoyed his retirement years wintering in Florida and traveling with his wife Janet. He treasured time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Markowski was preceded in death by his parents, second wife Janet, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by four children Mike (Linda), Annette, Ken (Yumi), and Denise (Tim); three grandchildren Steve, Amanda and Jessica; two great-grandchildren Elijah and Lillian; one brother Raymond (Theresa); and his first wife Jean.
Visitation Friday, April 26th, 10 AM to 12 NOON, St Mary Catholic Faith Community Church, 9520 W. Forest Home Avenue, Hales Corners. Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON. He will receive full military honors. Burial will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 11 AM on Monday, April 29th, 2019.
