Norbert John Schmid, 91, passed away peacefully at home with family surrounding him on April 6th, 2025.

Born the second youngest in a large family of nine children; preceded in death by his siblings Merwin, Raphael, Delmer "Pickles", Marge, Tom, Lorraine, Virginia and Fran. He always enjoyed spending time celebrating and joking with them and their families.

Norb was a deeply faithful Catholic. He was generous, supportive, smart, fun loving and had a great sense of humor with a quick smile. He was proud to be a carpenter. He loved working with his hands and was knowledgeable in many of the skilled trades. Throughout his life he generously and enthusiastically helped family and friends with repairs and remodeling projects large and small.

In his younger years he enjoyed restoring classic cars and for many years attended car shows. Norb loved gardening and took pride in the landscaping of his yards and lake home. In his later years he took "Sammy, the dog" on long walks in the warm sunshine of Arizona.

Norb was married to his first love, Laurie just short of 50 years; together they had three children. Norb found love again with his cherished wife Terri; they would have been married for 15 years in September.

He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Terri; his devoted children, Mike (Renee), Denise (Kevin) and Debbie (Tom). His treasured grandchildren, Carrie (Justin), Jonathan and Ian; great-grandchildren Peyton and Griffin. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
