Noreen Mary Weber, 95, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, with her family by her side, in her apartment at Avina of Milwaukee.

Noreen was born on July 20, 1931, in DePere, Wisconsin, to Elmer and Bernadine (Willems) Teske. She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Green Bay, WI, and went on to complete her R.N. degree at St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac, WI, in 1952. On September 5, 1953, she married the love of her life, Allan Frances Weber of Campbellsport, WI. Together they built their life in Milwaukee, where they raised their family and spent most of their years together.

Noreen and Allan were founding members of the Community of John XXIII, and were deeply involved members of St. Vincent de Paul, the DePorres Christian Family Movement, and Family Camp groups. For over 40 years, Noreen and her family provided monthly meals to the Capuchin Community's St. Ben's Program, faithfully bringing and serving a roaster of beef stew on the fourth Thursday of every month. Following the death of her beloved daughter Anne, Noreen found purpose in supporting others through bereavement programs at Our Lady of Good Hope, and she worked in one of the Milwaukee area's first hospice programs through St. Joseph's Hospital. She was an advocate for others, marching on picket lines, protesting injustices and speaking plainly about her truths and values. She lived a very authentic life, a life of faith, love and action, without judgement. She taught by example.

Noreen was known for her warm smile and positive spirit. She was a wonderful listener, admired for her kindness, generosity, and the way she made everyone around her feel cared for. Her faith was central to who she was, and she was well known for keeping a prayer list, always adding names of those who needed extra love and support. She was happiest surrounded by family and loved ones, and she prayed for each one every single day, with extra prayers as needed and requested. Family meant everything to Noreen, and she made a point of arranging birthday celebrations for her grown children — her way of making sure they stayed close and continued to support one another throughout their lives.

Noreen was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Weber; her daughter, Anne Weber; her grandson, Phillip Dietz; her daughters-in-law, Patricia (Wiencek) Weber and Jane (Shand) Weber; and her son-in-law, Robert Ziemer.

She is survived by her children: Joseph Weber (Paula Scott), Mark Weber, Mary (Michael) Dietz, James Weber (Laura Feldhusen), Sara Weber (Robert Hurlbett), and Clare Weber. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Andrew Weber (Deanna), Katherine (Kevin) Reitman, Chris Weber (Tiffany Sartin), Justin Dietz (Beth Venit), Elizabeth Ziemer, Natalie (Clay) Norman, Jessica (Sean) Stark, Tara Scott and Ian (Maddy) Scott; and her great-grandchildren: Bennett, Matthew, Annabelle, Lilliana, Jackson, Elena, Sarah, Michelle, Olivia, Jack, Stella and Rory. Noreen was also survived by numerous siblings, nieces and nephews and their families.

The Weber family wishes to express their deep and heartfelt appreciation to the staff and residents of Avina of Milwaukee for the friendship and loving care shown to Noreen during her final years.

A celebration of life for Noreen will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Avina of Milwaukee Chapel (9301 N. 76th St., Milwaukee WI, 53223). Visitation with the family will begin one hour before the service, with a reception to follow in the gathering rooms of Avina.
