Greendale - Patricia A. Greene, age 81, of Greendale, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. She was born on November 5, 1942, in Hales Corners, WI, the daughter of Paul and Helen (Tenant) Perlberg. She graduated from Waukesha High School in 1960.

Pat worked for Allen Bradley for many years while sharing an apartment with her younger sister in Milwaukee. While living there, she met and began dating Rod Greene when he moved in across the hall. They married on March 17, 1973, in Chicago, IL. Rod had three children from his first marriage, so Pat became an instant mom to Sandi, Cindy and Kevin. In 1975, daughter Kelli was born into the family, and later that year, they bought their first home in Glenview, IL. In 1979, the family relocated to Hobe Sound, FL, where they would remain until 2006, when they returned north to Franklin, WI, to be closer to extended family once again.

Pat's hands were rarely still. She loved to craft (stained glass, fused glass, diamond art) and decorate, but her passion was cooking. She could often be found in the kitchen making a gourmet meal for family or friends. Rod loved her cooking, and after her many delicious meals, he would get up from the table, tell her it was delicious, and thank her. In the last few years, she has been known for her delicious soups, which she lovingly shared with all of her friends and neighbors in her building.

Pat's very favorite activity lately was spending time with her granddaughter, Marley. When they were together, they shared many special mornings, sitting and talking or playing games together. They could often be found cooking something delicious in the kitchen long before the rest of the family was even awake. From the moment daughter Kelli found out she was pregnant, Pat referred to Marley as "her baby." Marley truly was the light of Pat's life.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Sandi (Robert) Sutherland, Cindy (Shawn) Runnells, Kelli (Stacy Redmon) Petersen, and her son Kevin. She left behind eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sisters Marilyn (Dean) King and Barbara Loe, sister-in-law Gayle Perlberg, and many other relatives and friends who will miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rod, brother Paul "Sparky" Perlberg, and sister Nancy Thompson.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the community room at Berkshire Greendale, 7010 W. Grange Ave, Greendale, from 12 pm until 2 pm on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
