Paul died peacefully on May 11, 2025, at the age of 66 years.

Paul was born on September 11, 1958, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and grew up in Wauwatosa. Paul worked in a variety of jobs prior to joining the United States Navy, where he served as a mechanical and electrical equipment repairman on the U.S.S. Independence. Paul was very proud of his service in the United States Navy, and so was his family. Paul enjoyed warmer climates, particularly his visits to both Costa Rica and New Orleans.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother and father, Patricia and George McMullen. Paul is survived by his brothers Gerard (Mary), John, Peter (Rose) McMullen, sister Mary Kay (Husain) Mukhtar and eight nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful Paul was able to spend his last days at home with his beloved cat, Dax. This was only made possible by home hospice services (Warren) from the Clement J. Zablocki Milwaukee Veterans' Medical Center, and the loving and generous care of his close and dear friends, Gerald M. Pfeifer and Macia Thekan.
