Peter A. Loehr passed unexpectedly, but peacefully, into Eternal Life on Saturday, December 13th at the young age of 68. Devoted husband and best friend to Carol (nee Reichert) for 41 years. Loving father of Steve (Angie), Maggie (Hunter) Watry, and Mike. Treasured Grandpa Pete to Madeline, Everett, and Owen Loehr. Brother to Barbara Loehr and Bernard (Janis) Loehr. Son-in-law to Dr. Robert Reichert. Brother-in-law to Diane Comstock, Ralph (Kathy) Reichert, Julie (Dean) Bellart, and Brian (Kristin) Reichert. A fun-loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Further survived by other relatives and many great friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Agatha Loehr, mother-in-law Helen Reichert, sister-in-law Paula Reichert, and nephew Matthew Reichert.
Pete grew up in North Fond du Lac, WI, and attended St. Mary’s Springs. After graduation, he moved to Milwaukee and attended Marquette University, where he naturally developed lifelong friendships and met the love of his life, Carol.
Pete enjoyed spending days golfing, cheering on his favorite sports teams, discovering new beers to try, and cherishing time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also loved to travel, dance, and listen to music. Known for his gentle demeanor and unique sense of humor, Pete had a way of bringing laughter to every room he entered. His love anchored his family and lives on through them, he will be deeply missed.
Visitation Monday, December 22nd, 2025 from 9:00-10:45 am, followed immediately by the Mass at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7152 N 41st Street Milwaukee, WI 53209. Private burial services being held by the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Peter’s family for final memorialization in the future.
