Carlson, Ralph J., 75, after almost one and a half year fight with cancer, the Lord has called home one of his finest September 1, 2014. Loving husband of Frances for one week short of 51 years, dear father of Ryan J. (Lisa) and Eric J. (Kristin), proud grandfather of Joshua Carlson, Nicole Gendron, Anastasia and Savannah Carlson and foster grandchildren, brother of Edward, Sr. and Robin (Robert) Warden, and further survived by extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and a brother, Jim.Visitation 9-11 A.M. Saturday, September 20 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7809 Harwood Ave., Wauwatosa. Memorial service 11 A.M. Husband, best friend, neighbor, hero, mentor, teacher, fishing and hunting buddy, confidant, role model, father, grandfather, vegetable and flower gardener, and problem solver. He had a quiet faith, but lived it better than anyone with his sacrificial giving and generosity. He will be missed by many but by God's grace, by the gift of his Son's death and resurrection, will be reunited in Heaven. No more cancer, no more pain, no more tears, and no fish limits.
