Raymond H. Heileman, age 92, went home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and reunited with his loving wife, Jan, on Feb. 17, 2015. Loving father of Dione (Dave) Anderson, Shirlie Rae-(Dave) Switala; Stepfather of Kelly (Dave) Covelens, Jim Marlowe, Brooks (Caralina) Marlowe, and Kim Marlowe; brother of Robert Heileman; loving grandfather of David S. (Robbyn) Gaska, Tiffany N. Wegner, Kenneth L. Wegner, and Jessy R. Wegner; also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, and 9 step-great grandchildren; further survived by other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife Jan, Ray was preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Louise (nee Guetzkow) Heileman, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, S66W14325 Janesville Rd, Muskego, WI 53150. Service at 10 a.m. Ray was the founder of R.H. Heileman Excavating, Grading, and Trenching. He will be remembered as a.k.a. Mr. Hales Corners, Texas Slim, and Polka King. Ray was the oldest living volunteer firefighter in Hales Corners, serving from 1947 to 1970. You could expect to see Ray at polka events. Ray always had jokes to tell and he was known for his huge vegetable garden. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Ray's multiple contributions to the community would not have been possible without his faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
