Raymond Wesley99 years young of West Allis, passed away Friday, Oct 20th, 2017.Strong and courageous son of Josephine (nee Schaller) and absentee, divorced father Frank Wesolowski. Brother of Catherine Ward (the late Roy), the late Richard (the late Jeannette), the late Jimmy (Evelyn) of Ann Arbor, MI, and Harry (the late Mary) Wesley. Proud uncle to many nephews and nieces, friends and feisty neighbors.In later years Ray was a small humble man with a big heart. He experienced more life at an early age than most-- providing housing for his mom and 4 siblings after Bay View High School and adapting to losing a thumb at 24 years old. He was dealt a bad hand yet responded with resiliency and never demonstrated handicap. He had no children and was briefly married. Retired employee of Griffith-Hope in shipping and receiving.He was passionate about further education for both sexes, men providing for their families, stood up against bullying and domestic violence, drank in moderation, and enjoyed family, many sports and handyman projects of all types. He was a man of faith and believed times have changed so must his view.Because he extensively travelled domestic and abroad, he had tales to tell and slides and pictures to share. Other leisure activities included 7mi fair and Mexican Flea market bargaining, attending Christ T. Seraphim sessions in the courthouse and other court TV.A private service will be held. In lieu of gifts, flowers or memorials, please extend a random act of kindness to an elderly person.The families want to thank the caretakers, staff and volunteers of Heritage, W.A., Close to Home Sr. Living, Tosa, and Vitas Hospice especially Jackie and Jeremy.We couldn't have done it without you.
