Died at age 64 on November 28, 2018 at the Hospice of Citrus County, Florida. She was born on December 15, 1953 in Harvey, Illinois. Loving wife of Randy Loehe for 46 years. Beloved mother of Samantha Loehe. Proud grandma of Harmony Rose Gast. Dear sister of Todd Saalman and Gayle Lewellyn. Fond niece of Norma Bursell. Cherished daughter-in-law of Jane Loehe. Further survived by many other cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Shirley Saalman.Rebecca was a 1981 graduate from the University of Wisconsin with a double major in Zoology/Anthropology. She held various jobs and her work included; Zookeeper of Milwaukee County Zoo, Naturalist for Milwaukee Parks, wildlife rehabilitator at Wildlife Arc, Educator at Mitchell Park Horticultural Domes and Forensic Assistant at Milwaukee County Morgue.Becky was a strong supporter of conservation efforts and preservation of wildlife habitat, and also of various Humane animal organizations.Becky enjoyed music, cooking, kayaking, biking, painting, reading, crossword puzzles and taking care of her pets, which included a variety of cats, dogs and parrots over many years. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with many friends. Becky endured many medical challenges with determination and dignity.A memorial gathering will be held at Hartson Funeral Home on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 11 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM.
