Age 87. Born to Eternal Life September 11th, 2017. Preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Mergenthaler, and second wife, Anna Platow-Mergenthaler; father of Debra (Rick) Barrett and Lori (Carl) Hively; grandfather of John (Amy) Hively, Amanda (Eugene) Knorr, Scott Francek, and David (Melissa) Francek; and great-grandfather. Step-father of Debra (Ronald) Schmidt, Dawn (Robert) Opichka, Dena Platow, and Daniel (Lisa) Platow. Further survived by one step-grandchild, and other relatives and friends.A visitation will be held on Friday, September 15th, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W.
