Riebs, Richard E. "Dick" Of Hales Corners and lately of Muskego passed away November 26, 2016 at age 88. A loving and devoted husband of 65 years to Priscilla (nee Webb), most cherished father of Andrew (Maureen), Amy (Ley) Mills, Daniel (Karen), and Jennifer (Dennis) Najoom, and proud grandfather of Anna and Parker, and great-grandson Walden, as well as uncle to nine nieces and nephews. Sister Barbara (John) McEwan preceded him in death. He was born and raised in North Milwaukee and was a graduate of Whitefish Bay HS and UW Madison. An electrical engineer with 28 patents, he became an expert in the form of energy conservation known as load management. After years in the industry, including heading a joint venture with RTE and the Swiss company, Zellweger, he approached retirement as an independent load management consultant. Later he found a partner in Frank Coulter and formed Riebs/Coulter and Associates, promoting load management across the Midwest. Dick was a family man and community leader, a past president of his church and active in Whitnall Park Rotary and other civic and benevolent organizations. A true gentleman, we will miss his brilliant mind, extraordinary kindness, and razor sharp wit. Services will be at Emanuel United Church of Christ, 10627 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners, WI on Saturday December 3, 2016. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to the time of the memorial service at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please bring your fondest memories.
