Richard F. Uecker, passed October 6th 2022 at the age of 70.
A resident of Greenfield, Wisconsin, Richard was enjoying retirement. Working for over 30 years at Wabash Alloys as a fleet mechanic and then starting his own business working as an Owner Operator. Richard retired from his company in 2015 and spent time with his lovely and devoted wife, Dawn.
Richard was a hard worker his entire life. In retirement he would spend his days working on projects around the house and tinkering in the garage. From racing at Hales Corners Speedway to rebuilding cars in his garage. Richard was always a car and racing enthusiast. He passed his love of cars on to his sons, and they often bonded together in the garage. Some of the best stories of Richard often involve being in the garage or around cars.
He was a loving and devoted husband, he was a caring, kind and compassionate man to those that had the pleasure to know him. A driven and hard-working individual who never sat back and waited for life to cut him any breaks.
Above all, Richard was a family man. He was an amazing father to his three sons and a loving Papa to his grandchildren. He spent his life making sure that his children and grandchildren were given the proper tools to become successful and live fulfilling lives. His lessons and love will be carried for years to come.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Elsie, brother John (Beverly) and son Scott (Lora). He is survived by his wife, Dawn, his sons Brian (Kathy) and Stephen (Krisandra), as well as his grandchildren, Victoria, Jasmine, Vincenzo, Talia and Gian. He is also survived by countless friends and other family members.
Richard held and will continue to hold a very special place in many hearts. We would like to thank the friends of his that were by his side through the last part of his life. Especially his good friends Ricky and Garrett. Their kindness and selflessness in this time made all the difference to his spirits.
The number of good things to be said about Richard is endless and he will be remembered dearly.
