Obituary

Rick James Kolosso, age 56, passed away at home Sunday, June 9th, 2024.

Rick was born on July 26, 1967, in Clintonville, Wisconsin, as the son of the late Joseph and Joy Kolosso. On September 18, 1993, Rick was united in marriage to the love of his life. Deanna Lynn Kolosso (nee Tutkowski). Together they had 31 years of marriage and 40 years together in total, however not nearly enough time.

Together they had three beautiful children, Madison Charlotte, Thomas Joseph and Benjamin Alexander. His children were his pride and joy, and he loved them dearly. Rick was very talented, and it seemed there was nothing stopping him as a young man. He had so much knowledge inside him, it was unbelievable.

His love for building and constructing started early on and at the age of 24, Rick and Deanna built their first house together. The design for their house was drawn out at a restaurant on a napkin between the two of them. They both worked as a team day and night to complete it. His career started at Pella windows, where he made windows, muntins and did servicing. He then moved on to building houses, garages (two garages were two stories of which he built almost entirely on his own).

He also worked on building a church, amongst various other construction projects. He was very talented at woodworking, construction and being an overall handyman. He owned his own MAC tools distribution for several years as well.

Rick LOVED pickles!!!!

He also liked antiques, tools, restoration projects, fishing, hunting, camping, motorcycling with cousins, especially Chrystal Wedde and friends. He loved shooting both bows and guns, model trains as well as large scale trains, RC boats and planes, just to name a few. He was an avid collector of many oddities, with far too many to mention, but if you knew Rick, you know. He would help anyone that needed help.

As his health started to decline, he kept himself busy by taking on several hobbies, a few were painting on canvases, model building from sticks and bead work. He enjoyed listening to rock music, watching spaghetti westerns, watching and learning about Vikings. He was a huge history buff, spending endless hours reading and watching videos on it.

He loved old pickup trucks, especially his red trucks, red was his favorite color. Also, Rick loved the up-north area of Big Falls, Wisconsin and wanted to live there someday, he had many stories and happy memories from his childhood summers up there while at his dad's home.

Rick loved his shenanigans, being a clown, and a huge jokester. If there was a way to make you laugh, he would do it, and his smile was infectious. He had a big heart and a lot of time; he wore his heart on his sleeve.

He will be missed, more than words can say. His prayers were answered, and his pain and suffering finally ended.

Rick, I hope you are doing all the things you couldn't here on earth. Walking, running, jumping, dancing pain free, and you're reunited with past loved ones, daughter Madison, and special fur baby Wednesday, Sassy the wonder dog as well as Muffin, Oscar, Sweetie Pie and Kiwi.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Joseph (Maxine) Kolosso, Joy (Jim) Loveless and his daughter Madison Charlotte. He is survived by his wife Deanna, their two children Thomas Joseph and Benjamin Alexander, his fur babies Gizmo or as he referred to him Tater Tot, Skittles (Skits) and his flying friends Sid the cockatiel and Poppie the parakeet.

Further survived by three brothers Joe (Candi) Kolosso, Tim Kolosso and Jimmy (Rachel) Bessette; nieces Emily, Xenia and nephews Ryan, Zane and Jacoby. Mother-in-law Diane Kolanowski, brother-in-law Philip Tutkowski (Noele Farvour). His favorite and most loved Aunt Evy, and many other extended family and friends.

Until we meet again, my body lies, but still I roam.

Special thanks to all who have helped Rick over the years of his illness he endured. The ones who took their time to talk with him and just allow him to vent.
