Beloved mother, grandmother, and community servant, Rita Anne Costrini-Norgal passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025. Born May 3, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Antonio and Anne (Leone) Costrini.
Rita married Al Norgal, and together they built a family. Although they later divorced, they remained devoted and supportive co-parents. She was a proud and loving mother to her two sons, Timothy (Marie) Norgal and Scott (Lori) Norgal. Rita's life was enriched by her family, including her devoted brothers, Anthony (Shirley) and Nicholas (Coral), her beloved stepsiblings, and her treasured nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren — all of whom brought her great pride and joy.
Professionally, Rita dedicated her life to serving families as the founding Director of the Mediation Center of Savannah and then as the Director of Mediation and Family Court Services for Rock County, a role she held from 1994 to 2013.
Over the course of her career, she managed services for more than 10,000 cases, demonstrating exceptional leadership, compassion, and a tireless commitment to supporting families during challenging times. Beyond her professional achievements, Rita was a passionate member of the Savannah Jazz Society, finding joy and connection through music. Rita's contributions left an enduring gift to the community, touching countless lives and inspiring others to follow in her footsteps.
Rita will be remembered for her kindness and unwavering devotion to her loved ones and those she served. She touched countless lives with her warmth and grace, leaving behind a legacy of love and service.

A Funeral Mass for Rita will be Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, located at 225 South Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM at the church. The family invites you to join us in the praying of the rosary at 10:30 a.m., prior to the Mass. This time of prayer and reflection will be a meaningful way to honor her memory. Following the Funeral Mass, all are welcome to gather in the parish hall for a luncheon and to share memories.
