Rita Ann Lufkin (nee Wood), passed peacefully on July 26, 2014 at the age of 79. Rita was born on July 26, 1935 to Minnie and Rubon Wood in Barron, Wisconsin. Lovingly survived by her husband of 60 years, Fran Lufkin; daughters Shelby (Gary) Styne, Kathy (Bill) Herrema, Bobbi (Marty) Kintop, Chris (Kurt Lembke), Rosalie (Bob) Scaffidi, and Mary (Steve) Mainus; grandchildren John Kintop, Melissa (Tom) Hutchins, Laurie Poznanski, Rachel Carnitz, Elizabeth (Tyler) Ignaczak, Gretchen (Jake) Rouse, Lynn (Eric) Hummer, Dirk Herrema, Charlotte Gabrus and Courtney Lufkin; great-grandchildren Scott & Abby Poznanski, Destiny, Kailynn, Austin & Maison Kintop, Braden & Xander Hutchins, Finley Rouse and Olivia Sostre (Gabrus); sisters Connie Crane and Patricia Olson; and many more relatives and friends. Proceeded in death by her mother Minnie Wood; grandchildren Michelle Styne and Paul Poznanski; brother and sister-in-law Larry and Vi Wood; and sister Joan Metcalf. Rita retired from Briggs & Stratton where she was a punch press operator for 26 years. She then worked part-time as a cashier at Johnny's Petroleum, which was a position she loved. Over the course of her life, she enjoyed riding horses, snowmobiling, bowling, trap shooting, deer hunting, reading, watching her Green Bay Packers & Milwaukee Brewers, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.
