Robert Fewel July 24, 1946 – August 12, 2024
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Robert Fewel on August 12th, 2024, at the age of 78.
A resident of Wauwatosa, WI, Robert's life was marked by his deep love for his family, his dedication to his community, and his many contributions to those around him.
Robert was born on July 24,1946, in Phillips, TX to Bob and Dorothy Fewel. Robert attended Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma before working as a psychotherapist.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, known for his kindness, curiosity and spirited sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kristin Holmberg Fewel; their two sons, Brendon Fewel and wife Amy of Verona, WI; Gareth Fewel and wife Aby of Chicago, IL; and his grandsons, Coen and Mason of Verona, WI.
Robert's memory will be celebrated through the countless lives he touched and the lasting impact he made. He was an active member of his church, Unitarian Universalist Church West, and a revered member of the church choir.
A life long learner; his passions included furniture building, playing music (piano, guitar, harmonica), singing, car racing, knife making, photography, playing video games and spending time with his family.
A memorial service will be held on October 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Unitarian Universalist Church West in Brookfield, WI.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wisconsin Parkinson Association, the Unitarian Universalist Church West or the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in Robert's honor.
Robert Fewel will be remembered for his generosity and the love and respect he so freely gave to everyone he met.
He will be deeply missed by those who were lucky enough to know and be loved by him.
