Robert Frank Karls, 85, passed peacefully on December 10, 2017 with his wife and four daughters by his side. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Litrenta) for 60 years and cherished father to daughters Terese (Donald) Jackson, Michelle (Jeffrey) Treske, Kristine Karls and Laura (Christopher Gross) Karls, proud Papa to Matthew Treske, Paul (Michele) Treske, Daniel Treske and Gregory Jackson, dear brother of Wayne (Dolores) Karls and Joyce Stindle, and loving uncle, cousin and friend to many others. Preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Agnes Karls, his mother and father in-law, Jerome and Louise Litrenta, and other Karls and Litrenta family members. Robert was born October 4, 1932 in Racine, WI. He served four years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War conflict and then received his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. On November 30, 1957, he married the former Jean Frances Litrenta in Racine, WI. Robert loved spending time with his wife, daughters, their families and dogs and also enjoyed woodworking, traveling, cooking and gardening. His greatest legacy was the love and support he gave his family. His guiding hands on our shoulders will remain with us forever. Visitation on Saturday, December 16th, 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM followed by a funeral mass with military honors at 1:30 PM at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, St. Mary Catholic Faith Community or St. Martin of Tours Parish.
