Obituary

Robert (Bob) Leslie Renner, age 89, passed away on October 12, 2020 at his home with his daughter and private caregiver at his side and in the thoughts of many.

Bob was born in Dudley Township, Clearwater County, Minnesota on November 27, 1930 to Frank and Esther (Dummert) Renner. He was the 6th of 11 children. In February of 1961, he married Annie-Lorie Walz. They raised two daughters, Patricia and Judy.

Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked in the pipefitting trade for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. Bob was known for his strong work ethic, stories, singing and good-nature. These things brought joy to his family and friends. One of his most well-known pieces of advice was "Don't take any wooden nickels".

He is survived by his siblings: Mary Ann (Loren) Smerud, Gene (Marlene) Renner and Lois Jenkins; his daughters: Patricia Renner and Judy (Duane) Bubolz; his grand daughters: Danielle (Kyle) Malloy, Alix (Christian) Birkrem, Andrea Slotke, Bailey Sauld and Carly (Adam Erickson) Sauld, nieces, nephews, other relatives and his beloved dog, Penny. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Esther (Dummert) Renner, wife Annie-Lorie (Walz) Renner and 7 siblings.

After leaving Little Green Lake, Bob lived at a retirement community in Menomonee Falls, WI. He made many friends with staff, residents and caregivers alike. Heartfelt appreciation for everyone there.

Due to current circumstances, there are no plans for a celebration of life at this time. Please keep Bob, his daughters, granddaughters and their families in your thoughts.
